Due to the recent comments, and questions we’ve been receiving, Blitzvixen would like to once and for all clear the air for the: “where did the term ‘Awesome Noise’ come from?”

Back in summer of 2008, Saturday, July 19th specifically.  A noise was formed, unlike no-other noise ever spontaneously and improvisational installed upon one’s facial area.

While practicing in Hardcore Joey Besl’s bedroom up at the Univ. of Vermont, Angelo and Joey were wrecking havoc on a ton of material.

This was witnessed by Bill Novak, and a UVM coed whom Blitzvixen would like to respond to us if she ever falls upon VXN again.  But the volume VXN songs were being cranked at, the whole city of Burlington, VT may as well have heard it.

Amidst destroying the walls with sound, and going through a few cases of Bud. This random chick flat out walks into the room.  (The whole house was empty, mind you, and the guys were upstairs in a 2nd floor bedroom). The guys immediately stop playing, and thinking she was one of the neighbor’s; 

Joey says to her: “I’m sorry, are you one of our neighbors?”
Random Coed: “What..are..you..guys..doing?”
Angelo: (realizing how raw VXN is) – “Being _____ awesome, what does it look like we’re doing?”

After playing a few songs for the Coed (and Bill), the guys took a short break,

Angelo asks her: “so..let me get this straight, you walk into a random house, by yourself, its completely empty, and walk upstairs into a random bedroom with massive amounts of metal screaming out of it?”

Random Coed: “well, I was walking down the sidewalk across the street on my way to my girlfriend’s house, and I heard this noise..it t’was an awesome noise, I had to find out where it was coming from.”

If you could see the look on their faces when she said “..it t’was an awesome noise.”

Un..real.

Later on in the summer, after playing for the better part of the afternoon, a friend of the guys’: Charlie Rand was chillin’ with them listening to the session, picks up Angelo’s camera, and hits record. What was witnessed was raw chord progression with serious energy which had never been played before that day.

THIS IS WHERE BLITZVIXEN HITS THE AWESOME NOISE FOR THE FIRST TIME..and it was all caught on film.

Angelo.  Joey.  Charlie..all in shock of what this ‘new sound was’, and it was pretty obvious it was the ‘Awesome Noise’.
